About Artist Dan Poré
Dan Poré has had a career in fine arts since the 1970's, after a 6-year tour of duty in the United States Air Force as The Base Graphic Specialist, responsible for painting portraits of renown Military Brass including serving in the Pentagon. After receiving his Honorable Discharge Dan opened his first studio on Detroit's Riverfront where he continued to receive portrait commissions from Detroit dignitaries including the Honorable Mayor Coleman Young. Since then, he has entered a plethora of art exhibits, earned art grants to teach youth legal ways of expressing themselves artistically without defacing private property.
Dan became a published artist in the 90's after being the owner of art studios throughout Southern California along with his wife Kimberly. While assuming the role of an artistic entrepreneur he met his publishers Craig and Paula Haddad of Haddad Fine Arts publishing. Dan relocated he and his wife to Texas in 2003 where Dan joined Houston Art Guilds including The Sugarland Artist Guild and LoneStar Artist Guild. He also became employed by Katy Visual and Performing Art Center as an Art Instructor and eventually sat on its Board of Art Directors.
In 2006, after moving his family to Columbus from Sugarland, Dan joined the Live Oaks Art Guild, and exhibited his art in the upper room of the Columbus Live Oaks Gallery presenting "Another Side of Color" during Black History Month Art exhibit. Dan continues to produce his own art as well as assist other artists in the reproduction of their created works of art.
Dan released his book "Gods Artist" on Amazon/KDP a telling about his life as an artist and how the arts brought him to where he is today as the Senior Pastor of Zoe Christian Freedom Church an outreach driven ministry where he is now able to unite Art and Faith.
